Hello Barbara Taking up your kind offer re Challinors in the Liverpool 1861 census. I have 'lost' John Challinor, who married Eliza Corris in Toxteth in 1867 at the age of 20 so would have been around 14 in 1861. His father was William and I know nothing much else before then. I found John's son, also John (Herbert) on the 1881 census in Toxteth Park workhouse, his name changed to Chaloner. Any help you (or anyone else) can give as to John and William appearing on the 1861 census, especially their place of birth, , would be very much appreciated. Thanks Di |
