Hi Challinor researchers, I may be telling someone old information but it may also help someone else. I have been in contact with an elderly Australian lady who is by birth a Challinor and she tells me that in a place called Pickwood Hall I presume this is in Pickwood near Leek in Staffordshire there is a comprehensive pedigree to the Challinor families back to 1500 I am not sure whether this includes the French families or is after some migrated from France. I am not a Challinor but one of my ancestors married into a Challinor family here is Australia. Also the Public Records Office in Sydney apparently has some information about the Challinors in Australia. Hope this helps someone. Robin in Adelaide |
