Mr. Williams, I have read several of your postings and I am VERY interested as to how long it has taken you to compile the information on the Cason family. It seems like it must have taken YEARS.

I have a couple of questions for you, if you could be so kind:

1. Exactly how far have you gone back in the family line?
2. How would I go about gathering facts? I mean.. could I find things in my local library (Jacksonville, FL), or should I actually go up to Georgia (I'm from Pierce/Ware Counties) and search the census records, etc, from there?

I've just started researching my family tree and I'm not really sure where to begin. My mom has researched as far back as Thomas Cason, b. 1604, and I've gathered that his father was John Cason, but I can't get any further and I'd like to do research and make copies of whatever I can from actual documents. I'm just lost.

My family line is as follows (starting with William, b.1695):

William Cason (b. 1695)
-Hillery Cason (b. 1737)
--Frederick Cason (b. 1777)
---David Cason (b. 1813)
----Shadrick (Shadrack?) Cason (b. 1850)
-----Mary Elizabeth Cason (b. 1881)
------Frank J. Clark, Jr. (b. 1910)
-------Gloria A. Clark (b. 1940)
--------Cynthia D. Duckwiler (b. 1958)
---------Marion F. Carter (b. 1983) (me)

Please email me at ranchdreshin@yahoo.com if you can find the time to answer my queries.

Thank you so much!
