Our Alexander Catto was born 1851 in Aberdeen. He died March, 1913 either in Pasadena, Ca. or Bothwell, Ontario. I have seen it two ways. He was married to Harriett "Hattie Jean" Otis b Aug 1850, who was from Zone, Bothwell, Ontario. Her father was Joseph Otis and her mother was Elizabeth McDermott. We have learned that the "Otis" name was actually "Outhouse" which is a derivative of an old Dutch name, Uythuysen.Alexander and Hattie Jean reportedly had nine children. Two of them were Hatabel Catto who married Joseph Horn McFarland and Fred J. Catto who married Mabel Walt Berridge and Mary Lucinda Griswold and Ina Mae McCollum.
This is pretty much what I have. Any guidance toward the correct Alexander Catto ancestors would be greatly appreciated
