Simple interpretation penmanship appears to be the key. Triplet Cason is the person in question, and to further make a mess of things, he is indexed in 1820 Jones county in one search engine and Lincoln County in yet another.
So, Faeples Cason is really Triplet (Triplett) Cason. The Ancestry.com indexing has him on image 3, and on image 4 there is James Swords.
I had been looking for a geographical connection of these two families (Cason and Swords). Both Triplett Cason and James Swords later move on to Walton County, Georgia where they are again enumerated in the 1830 Census. I'd like to "nail down" further proofs that Triplett Cason is the father of John W. Cason, (b. abt. 1795 South Carolina) and that Matilda Swords (b. abt. 1795 Georgia) is the daughter of James Swords.
Further, Triplet Cason is also found in 1800 Census of Edgefield County South Carolina, however his surname was indexed as Casow and his given name was indexed as something entirely different(Teepleb). Other Cason's named in 1800 Census of Edgefield County include Thomas Cason and William Cason.
