Vickie, if you visit the Brown Co forum, you will find this message #323 in 2004:
I photographed a lonely grave in a pasture in May, Brown County,Texas this weekend. It was of a four old girl, Martha Alice Cason (17 Jan 1973 - 26 Jan 1877), daughter of J.J. & L.J. CASON. It is the only grave in this pasture, and is sad to think none of her family's descendants are aware of where she is.
There was a John J. and Louisa J. Cason in the 1900 Brown County, Texas Census and these two individuals are buried in the May Cemetery.
Could you be related ?, and if so, would like this information and pictures I took ? Clay Riley
I found this family, I assume, listed as Casson on the 1880 census.
