Hi Geoff I recieved your contact today Sun 6th Nov 2005
I was contacting you to see if you had any connection with my line of the Carse family from Co Down,Ireland.
I know from following your entries at this site that there
seems no direct line connection but I was wondering whether you know of my side of the family.
My earlyest known ansestor is Henry Carse born 1785 Carragullen,Down Ireland, wife unknown his children were Henry born 1808 married to Martha Miskimmon bornca 1810 Killinchy Down Ireland. Their Children were Mary ,Henry ,two Janes ,Robert Martha and William Henry Carse.
I have also the other children of Henry b 1785 they are Robert, Sarah, James, Eliner, and Stewart,I have no decendants of these other siblings to Henry .
Henry and Martha were married 6 May 1829 .
I have records for Mary ,Jane 2 Martha, and William Henry .
Mary married James McCormick and they eight children I have records for Catherine ,she married David Orr they had eight children I also have their names and decendants for James.Jane 2 married Robert Morrow and they had Thomas Robert I have their Decendants. Martha married William Davidson and had a doughter also caled Martha.
William Henry Carse ismy direct line he married Sarah Harriet Geddis in 28 April 1869 Killinchy Down Ireland I have certificates for William and Sarah they came to me from Allan Valentine whos mother was a Carse From these Families William Henry and Sarah had 10 children they were Robert, Martha, Anna, Henry my grand father. James , Margaret Jane , Maria , Mary, Sarah Harriet and Grace Harriet. I have records for seven of these children .
Henry my grand father married Ethel M Stobbs they had four children and Ethel also had another doughter after she broke up with Henry , I have Henry's birth ,marriage and death papers , my father was one of their children as was Edward , Ethel, and William he died in France at Dunkirk ,I have records for the decendants of these children .
I am one of four brothers one died as a chiled my other brothers as am I are married one has grand children .

I have contact with Al Valentine John Dumonceau, Hetty Gibson , Cathie Ridgeway, Duncan Carse , David Carse, and a number of the close relatives in England and Scotland . Al, John Cathie And Nancy live in Canada. Hetty lives in Belfast N I . . was it you that had contact with my brother Donald in Port Augusta many years ago ,he had contact with some body in QLD but he did not know of thr reletives prior th Henry these I have found after getting Henry's Death certificate , and through the LDS Records.
I would very mutch like to have contact and discuss the Carse lines
