Hi Helen, i have near that date, in my direct line :Thomas b.1841 @ Wooden & his brother Ralph b.1845 @ Alnwick.
- needless to say your James b.1840 could be a son to a relative of mine?
- i'm interested in pursuing this...do you have James' parents names? - any other siblings?
-My Carss/Carse line were all poor as church mice...miners moving around Northumberland following work & I'm presuming yours were too?
- If you can find more info to see if we can link up ,that would be great!
(PS.I'm a bit slow in answering these days due to study & work commitments though I do get around to answering as soon as i find free time.)
