My Greatgrandfather Samuel Carse moved from county Down to Dublin in or about 1867 . He became the Editor of Thoms Dublin Street Directory , working for Alex Thom ltd.,when Alex Thom himself retired . His son Samuel B Carse in turn succeeded his father in 1907 and held this position until his death in 1955 . His brother James moved to England ,not sure what part . S.B. Carse had one son also called Samuel , he too worked with Thoms for a number of years. Do these Carse people mean anything to anybody out there.
