I have just started to research my maiden name.

My father is named Richard Carse and was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 7/9/1936. His father was also called Richard and his mother Celia. He had two sisters, Joan and Marina.
His parents divorced in the mid 1940's.

His father had three brothers, Tom, James, John and a sister, Elizabeth. Their birth dates would be around the early 1900's. My father believes his grandfather may have settled in Newcastle from Scotland and was killed fairly early in life due to a factory accident.

Have you come across any information on this family? My father cannot remember anyone else other than his family with the name of Carse in Newcastle. The family lived in Scotswood during the 40's and 50's.

I would be grateful for any information you may have.

Regards.

Sharyn Fowler
