You're welcome. Unfortunately I don't have any photographs or any more information about what happened to Newman or Levi. I'm not even sure my cousin Rex Brittain had any photos, although since I only visited with him for a couple of hours we never got around to the issue of photographs. I was poking around yesterday on the Internet and found two funeral notices of interest -- that of Amos Carlisle of Douglas County, MN who died on 12 November 1899 at the age of 95. He had lived for 45 years in Columbus County, Wisconsin before moving to Minnesota to live with his daughter, Mrs. Hugh J. (Alzina) Owens. His wife, Sallie Allen Carlisle, died 22 March 1897 at the age of 85 also at the home of her daughter Alzina Owens. As for Franklin Carlisle who married Olive, I found a little more about his son Allen Wales Carlisle. Allen married Alice McKillips (not McPhillips) on 1 Feb 1887. Her father was Charles J. McKillips born about 1832 in New Hampshire; he was alive as late as 1910. Allen and Alice had a number of children: Ila M., William Frank, Elsie A., Earl W., Louis O., Harry, Joseph Allen -- maybe others. Franklin's daughter Addie Carlisle died 19 Dec 1946 in Douglas County, Minnesota, apparently unmarried to the end. That's about all I've managed to dig up. Happy hunting!
