Fay,

This particular Robert Carlisle did eventually move to Alabama. He was living in Edgefield District, SC when his father passed away.

Robert purchased land in Russell County, Alabama on 18 February 1839. On 3 December 1858 he filed his bounty Land Claim for serving in the War of 1812. Robert and his family moved to Choctaw County, Alabama in 1864. He wrote out his Last Will and Testament on 30 July 1872 in Choctaw County, Alabama.

He was receiving a pension for the War of 1812 when he passed away on 7 December 1878 in Choctaw County, Alabama. He is buried in an unmarked grave near his brother, John S. Carlisle's old home near Gilbertown, Choctaw County, Alabama.
