Richard Carlisle,b.1774 Marlboro Dist, SC d. 1854 m. Sarah Burkett, according to information on the Net
I'm looking for the lineage of Sarah Carlisle Wright of Hancock Co GA,b. 1815 possibly in SC, m. Thomas Wright. I believe her father was Robert Carlisle,who was in Hancock Co 1830, and wife Hannah, who,probably as a widow,lived with her daughter Elizabeth Waller and husband Zephaniah Waller in Baldwin Co Ga 1850. Elizabeth was Z's third wife.
Sarah Carlisle Wright's son was Dawse Pierce Wright, a CW vet, my Ggrandfather. He was committed to the State Hospital in Milledgeville in 1877. By 1902, the hospital's records show Mr. W.H. Burkett of 764 Ash St. Macon GA as their contact for Pierce Wright,since his parents and wife Tabitha (Butts) had died. Pierce's children were kept in the dark about his confinement in the Mental Hospital
The 1900 census of Bibb Co, Macon shows William H. Burkett and wife Anna, b 1859 and 1858 respestively, living at 616 2nd St. No children.
Was William H. Burkett connected with the Richard Carlisle
and Sarah Burkett of Marlboro Diat? Thanks for any information you might have. Fay
