I would suggest that you try to get a look at the original death certificate. Sometimes the person who transcribes the record mis-reads the info, especially the hand written parts. According to records I have, Stephen A. Cabe, son of Amos Cabe and Mary Green d. 24 Apr. 1915 in Waynesville, NC, Haywood Co. (Bk. 2 Pg. 238). If it isn't convenient to go there, you could call or write and request a Xerox copy. Hope this helps.
