There is no 'typical' hospital stay. People were sent to the hospital tent for many types of conditions: wounds, disease in great variety. There is no 'typical' or 'average' length of service. Men enlisted in the Continentals for 9 months, a year, 3 years, 'for the war'. Michael Rigal / Riggle was last paid for July 1777 and was not on the Aug. 1777 payroll. Possibly he had enlisted for a year. Notify Administrator about this message?
